Interview 2 - A person is not limited to what you see another black or brown person doing. These kept slaves entrapped. This often referred to by the educated as having a slave mind. Blacks in America were inventors inventing things that no man had ever created, blacks joined and succeed in a white military and traveling to Europe white culture, that they saw no black doing, black Americans built Colleges and Schools, HBCUs that lead the way for Education because they saw White and other races building school, etc. So, by declaring that blacks need to see other blacks doing something limits their expectation and reality that blacks can do anything they see another human doing, or maybe even better, with the right reading, education, and capitalization. But, just be happy if you are doing what you love. Fredrick Douglas saw little white kids reading and decided he wanted to do what they did.
